The Smart Jacket LS is a ventilated motorcycle jacket that combines the adaptability and ultimate protection of the Dainese D-air® airbag system with the versatility of a light, ventilated garment. No connection to the motorcycle is necessary with the Smart Jacket LS. It does not require a membership and may be worn as a regular ventilated jacket without the requirement for additional matching clothing. It is made of approved, abrasion-resistant, ventilated fabric, ensuring good breathability and being appropriate for usage on the warmest days. 

The Dainese D-air® system, utilized in MotoGPTM, was developed over 25 years of study and uses sensors to analyze the rider's environment 1,000 times every second. It autonomously recognizes any potentially harmful circumstance and instantly activates the Shield, a specially designed microfilament airbag that provides the maximum level of protection for the chest and back, without the need for cords or connections. Even when the car is stationary, the system operates and offers protection in the event of slides, high sides, collisions with objects or other vehicles, or rear-end collisions. Without the use of a rigid back protector, the Dainese D-air® system's Smart Jacket LS provides covered areas with a level of protection comparable to seven level 1 rigid back protectors. The shoulders and elbows of the Smart Jacket LS include detachable Pro-Armor Lev. 2, Type B protectors. Due to its soft structure inspired by natural fractals and its 40% vented surface, Pro-Armor technology provides limbs with the highest level of protection, complete movement, and exceptional ventilation. With two zipped side pockets, the wearer may practically keep their most important personal belongings close to reach.

HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF

CHEST - Chest circumference 

The chest in its maximum extension during normal breathing is measured with the person standing, passing the measuring tape horizontally around the torso over the scapula bones (the shoulder blades) and just under the armpits.

ARM - Sleeve length from shoulder (arm straight)

The distance from the most protruding point of the shoulder to the wrist (on the end of the Ulna bone), is measured with the arm relaxed at the person's side.

NECK - Neck circumference

The circumference was measured at 2 cm below Adam's apple in the front and at the 7th cervical vertebra in the back (i.e. NOT horizontally).

WAIST - Waist circumference

The circumference was measured horizontally around the waist, just above the highest point of each of the iliac crest bones, during normal breathing on the person standing, with a relaxed abdomen.

The brain inside the Smart Jacket senses and analyzes everything that goes on around the rider. It uses its sensors to monitor and process data 1,000 times a second. Its complex algorithm activates the airbag in the event of lowsiders, highsiders, collisions with objects or other vehicles, and rear-end collisions. For the first time with a motorcycle airbag system, activation also occurs in a collision with a stationary vehicle, which is common when stopping at an intersection.
